The influence of ethics on decision-making and the impact of technology on work-related stress are just a few trends in organizational behavior. What kinds of influence does ethics have on decision-making? How does technology impact work-related stress? These two questions will be answered over the next few paragraphs. The difference in ethical beliefs has a strong impact on the decisions being made throughout a company for several reasons. The first reason is that if individuals throughout the company have different ethical beliefs on what is right and wrong then there will be conflict on what needs to be done. Usually, regardless of who is correct on which belief is correct, the manager's final decision is usually definitive. The second reason would be that depending on the individual's cultural background there might end up being different ethical beliefs. Each of these beliefs is considered to be ethically correct, based on those individuals' cultural beliefs. This again will more than likely end up in a conflict. The third reason would be there are many individuals who will ignore what is ethically correct and do the unethical thing. This is usually done in order to gain acceptance, recognition, and even sales. The final reason ethics influences decision making is that there are many people that will only make an ethical decision. This is a good thing for any company because it shows that they can be trusts and that they are good people.
             I will use an example of how ethics influences decision-making based on something that could happen where I work. The company gets in a new job from a long-time customer. After several months of processing this part, the customer's customer asks for the test results on this part to make sure that the pain will withstand the correct amount of salt spray testing.
