The baby is napping, the dishwasher running, and the toys all put away. Now is the time to sit at the computer focused and ready to learn. The blackboard site pops up. And now, it's time to begin my school day. Because of the advantages that online classes provide, many students can work on their education as their schedule allows. Not only do online classes provide students with the opportunity to maintain their own schedule, it also allows for independence, and the convenience of education on any computer, anywhere a student chooses.
             One major advantage that online classes provide students is the ability to educate themselves as their schedule permits. When students are given a flexible time schedule, students are given the opportunity to continue with their daily routine without interruption. This definitely works to my advantage. Being a stay at home mother of two, online classes allow me to remain at home with my children, while attending school full-time. I participate in my classes while my son is sleeping or playing contently. When he needs my attention or my step-son arrives home from school, I can stop and meet their needs, then come back to class. Through the flexibility that online classes provide, I feel that I am not abandoning my family while educating myself ( I don't feel that I am taking away from my family as I would if I on campus).
             Online classes provide students with independence. This can be an enormous advantage over a traditional classroom setting. Many traditional classes provide students with a day by day schedule. Online classes provide students with a course schedule that lists their assignments through the semester. This provides students with the ability to complete their assignments preceding the due date. This, once again, has worked to my advantage. Having prior knowledge of this week's assignments and the due dates, gave me the opportunity to travel out of town w
