S Special care is needed in dealing with children whose age, inexperience or physical state makes them particularly vulnerable to abuse. Coaching Codes Of Conduct:There are six main principles that coaches are expected to adhere to, so as to ensure that taking part in hockey is a positive and worthwhile experience to all. S In extreme stormy conditions do not carry out practise because of lightning striking the participants or the pitch. They have adopted a child protection policy to ensure the welfare and safety of children. England Hockey believes the following:S The safety and welfare of the children should always be of paramount importance whatever the circumstances. S If the weather is hot and the sun is out ensure people consume lots of water to keep their bodies hydrated. Child Protection Issues:For this area I have been able to obtain information from England hockey. The Children Act 1989 states that anyone who is involved in the care of children should: "Do what is reasonable in the circumstance for the purpose of safeguarding or promoting the child's welfare".
