             The Northwest College of Art
            
             There are two parts of life I believe everyone is entitled to: the right to be yourself, and the right to an education. At school we learn more than what is written in a textbook; we learn to interact with our peers, we learn how to behave in certain situations, and we develop whom we are. Furthering my education will prepare me to achieve my goals and further my interests. Going to the Northwest College of Art, I believe, will help stimulate my personal development. I am looking forward forging a new chapter of my life, and I would be proud to do so at Northwest College of Arts.
             Your school provides advanced artistic programs that appeal to my interests. I am looking forward to learning new and interesting ways to create characters and draw more deeply from my imagination: furthering my skills in drawing and mastering the control of my hand. I want to express the images in my head in the clearest ways possible. Meeting other artists and creating networks vital to success in the business world is very exciting. Through opportunities provided in Northwest College of Arts and its internship programs I know these relationships will flow. A deeper perspective on the kinds of careers available to graduated art students is what I hope to gain, as well.
             I am not the perfect student or the football star from down the street. However, I am someone with potential, humility, and a well cultured view of life. I have faced many challenges on the road of my life. But, most importantly, I have witnessed a large spectrum of people and cultures and situations that have given me a unique vision through which my art is inspired.
             Growing up, I would often indulge in the fantasy worlds portrayed by writers and artists. I would read fantasy novels, watch anime, and most religiously: play video games.
