Egypt is located in Northern Africa, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, between Libya and the Gaza Strip. With total land area about 995,450 square kilometres, Egypt is the most populous country in the Arab world and the second-most populous on the African Continent. It is a diverse country that straddles two worlds, Africa and the Middle East. Its people have backgrounds that include Turkish, Arab, African, Nubian, Pharonic (ancient Egyptians), European, Berber, Eastern European, etc. Egypt is a popular tourist destination for its many exciting and exotic sights and activities [2004 #2].
             The Pyramids of Giza are probably the best-known attraction, along with the ancient mysteries of Luxor and Aswan in Upper Egypt, with many beautiful Mosques and other examples of Islamic art and architecture. Egypt is becoming known for its beautiful and inexpensive beaches on the Red Sea where people can get their certification in Scuba diving while observing the incredible beauty of Egypt's Red Sea coral reefs. There are spectacular oases in the Egyptian Western Desert where bathing in hot or cold water springs is possible. Egypt also has a history in the Jewish and Christian religions. Culturally, the Egyptian people are warm, open and friendly [Yousef, 2003 #3].
             Pull Factors refer to the ability of a destination to pull or draw visitors to it, thus it relates more to characteristics of the destination and not the tourist. As such, pull factors refer to the supply side of tourism [Weaver, 2002 #4].
