Martin Luther
Martin Luther was born in 1483 and died in 1546. He was a friar thus meaning he was a very religious person. This man had launched what was called in his time, The Protestant Revolution of the 16th Century. His family was into mining while he was into theology, which he later pursued in it even more to which he became a professor in. During his life he thought of establishing a religion, this religion was different from Catholicism. This religion was called the Non-Catholic Christians or Lutherans. Luther had all of his views through salvation only through God. It didn't matter what the people said, it was what God accepted. What influenced this man to convert and become such a religious person was one night there was a storm that was over his town and he was very frightened. He then prayed to God that night and made a decision that he would give his life to God and worship him in a more formal and stronger way through the non-Catholic way or through the Lutheran way. As I read more and more about Luther, I think that his missi
His mission was to have a separate religion to the Catholics called Lutheranism or to be one you were considered Lutheran. Many people followed in this mans footsteps or they actually pursued in this mans beliefs or thoughts that Luther had. Maybe his true mission was accomplished when he died or a while after he died or even now. Even now there are Lutheran churches meaning even from his time to now there are Lutherans out there, thus meaning he was very successful. Within the question "was Martin Luther successful in what he sought to do?" and I say, yes, but some may not. Luther liked this particular group be cause he grew up in a family of German peasants. On my final thought or point, I would like to state that Martin Luther had huge impacts on his country on many societies and many social groups and in America. People believed in what he sought to make meaning that he created something that a lot of people wanted and followed. I think that his mission was accomplished when he had his first Lutheran follow him. By giving God all of your salvation or having God decide your religious stance and not the people. I would disagree on both of these views though. His new religion was called Lutheranism or you were considered a Lutheran if you believed in what Luther believed in.
