Television violence in the United States is a growing industry. So many people today in the U.S do not even realize how violence impacts the society. Many Americans are afraid to leave their homes because of the enormous amount of crimes that are broadcasted on the news. The media and the television industries are to blame for creating such fear. People live in fear because of violence in the news, in the movies, and on Television shows.
             Violence in the news gives Americans a sense of fear. Everyday when someone turns on the news there is always a murder, rapist on the loose, or robbery. This scares society making people not wanting to go somewhere, nor wanting to go out at night. This is also, is an example of how the media entertains Americans by creating such fear. If the media did not create such fear, Americans today could feel comfortable with doing their everyday routines.
             Movies coming out today in are becoming more violent. Because of how violence in movies sell there are many bloody war movies that create fear. For Example, we are at war with Iraq so what is the point of seeing bloody war movies. They will just scare people. People should be more aware of what these movies do to them.
             Violence in Television shows is harmful to kids. There is much violence on Television shows such as cartoons. Kids are more prone to watching these cartoons and imitating the violent behavior. Young kids do not realize the consequences of violent behaviors when imitating by children. Since kids do not know the impact that violence has on them, parents should be more aware of what kids are watching.
