Life is Beautiful

Set during 1938 (the Nazi era), in the land of Fascist Italy, there was a man named Guido who was then with his friend Ferrucio. Guido came to Italy for his dream of establishing his own bookstore. Upon reaching the city, they had several misadventures. Guido then met a beautiful woman, Dora, whom she called princess. On the later part of the story, Guido would always set-up some plans, for him to see the beautiful school teacher. It was apparent that Dora was falling in love with him for the reason that Guido was so sweet to her for the times they "accidentally" met each other. Contrary to her love for Guido, she was then engaged to a Fascist official. Already reminded by the truth, Guido still fights for his love and eventually he was victorious. Few years later they had a son named Giosue, a stubborn yet an intelligent boy. They lived a happy life-eating together, going to work everyday, managing the bookstore- all those were the happy moments that they used to do in everyday. Being reminded of the rise of Jewish discrimination over t

Love may still go on, even at the presence of war. Bothered by the events that may happen, Guido used all his comedic lies and wit to persuade his son that their presence in the concentration camp is a game which they will play to have the ultimate prize- a tank. It has been a long time that Dora and his husband haven't been talking to each other because of the separation of men and women in the camp. He can't really understand English language but when he was asked to take a ride in the tank, Giosue did follow the soldier because he knew that the tank was their prize in the game. Guido, who was full blooded Jew, was brought to the concentration camp with his son. He states that it was his story of sacrifice for the good and safety of his beloved son and wife. At the height of the rise of the Nazis, it was ordered that all Jews are to be placed on a concentration camp. As the tank was moving, Giosue saw his mother and yells that they have won the tank- the mother and son once again met after a long time of despair. At the time that he was wandering in camp, his eyes were astonished as he saw a tank that was moving towards him. Those were the lies that Guido has told his son- lies that were never confessed because he was sabotaged by a German soldier when he was caught outside sneaking in the women's quarters. The soldier asked him his name but the he can't understand English. There were many times that Giosue has been bothered by the events since other children in the camp were saying that there was no game at all. Out of Dora's love to his husband and son, she deports herself from Italy to the concentration camp. In the tank was an American soldier.
