What is war? War can mean a various amount of things such as a contest between nations or states, carried on by force, whether for defense, for revenging insults and redressing wrongs, for the extension of commerce, for the acquisition of territory, for obtaining and establishing the superiority and dominion of one over the other, or for any other purpose; armed conflict of sovereign powers; declared and open hostilities. The US troops have been in Iraq now for over two years, which seems a little ridiculous that US soldiers are losing their lives each and every day for such a silly reason. I have many different feelings about the war, but there are both pros and cons to the situation, but only one way seems more realistic. Therefore, there are many pros to the war. I feel that having the troops in Iraq, the US is helping out that country. Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction which could harm the US or even his own people which he has done before. Therefore if our troops are in Iraq, they will resist the weapons of mass destruction and not only save the US, but other countries along the way. The US has helped more countries out than any other country and still other countries would like to go to war with the US. I thin
My opinion on having the US troops in Iraq would be an indefinite yes. But I also do think that the US needs to make a master plan on what they are going to do because they are spending too much money on having our troops over there and too many people are being killed because of this. The US has also freed Iraq from a country ruled under a crappy dictator who treated them with disrespect and didn't deserve to be a ruler of their country. War is stupid but it has to be done because of the idiots in this world. Most soldiers over there are still so young and they have so much ahead of them. That is because without our troops there, it would be so much worse and terrorism would be spreading as of this minute most likely. Now the problem is even spreading to Russia as they invade a school and kill over 200 people, therefore that shows it is becoming to be ridiculous. It's going to be decisive" (George W. Therefore in conclusion I feel that what the US is doing is the right thing to do, but they just need to move a little faster at it and stop messing around and get to the point. Staying there forever isn't going to help anything, it's only going to harm something such as people's lives. With all the problems in this world it is true that violence is not the answer but I guess it has to be in some cases such as this. With that being said, as you can see there are many pros but there are also many cons to the situation. They need to get what they want and get out of there.
