Oedipus, The King

A mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability is called Hero. A man admired for his achievements and noble qualities. In Early Greek plays, they are taller and larger than any other men. They were very strange and attractive. While anti hero is a protagonist or notable figure who is conspicuously lacking in heroic qualities. Or a person or thing blamed for a particular evil or difficulty. Creon, Jocasta's brother, returns at the very moment from Apollo's oracle with the announcement that all will be well if Laius' murderer be found and cast from the city. as long as it's audience wishes for a conclusion far removed from the original ending of the play. This story started when Oedipus has been made King of Thebes, in gratitude for his freeing the people from the plague brought on them by the presence of the riddling Sphinx. Since Laius, the former king, had shortly before been killed, Oedipus has been further honored by the hand of Queen Jocasta. Until they realized that there is a prophecy that the King Laius will be killed by his own son and the son will marry his own mother. Oedipus really didn't know he was the son of Laius because he was adopted by the King and Queen of Corinth.
