Euthanasia

             The intentional killing by act or omission of a dependent human being for his or her alleged benefit is the definition of Euthanasia. Euthanasia is just a subtle word for murder. There are three types of Euthanasia; Voluntary Euthanasia when the person who is killed has requested to be killed; Non- voluntary Euthanasia when the person who is killed made no request and gave no consent; Involuntary Euthanasia when the person who is killed made an expressed wish to the contrary. Euthanasia is a well-known use of treatment doctors have used as to aid in the death of patients. Although illegal in some parts of the world it is legal in others. Is it right or wrong? That question can be answered by a matter of opinion. The argument against Euthanasia is a sacrilegious one and considers Euthanasia from as being less than moral. There are three arguments for Euthanasia Autonomy, Beneficence and The Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution. I am against Euthanasia choosing to die is never the correct choice.
             From a religious perspective God is the creator of life, he and no one else should be the destructive force that takes it away. When physicians practice Euthanasia they are taking on the role of God. One of our ten commandments clearly states "thou shall not kill" and murder as we all know is against the law in America. If an individual unsuccessfully commits suicide we don't smile and ask them to try again we commit them to a mental institution and seek professional help for them. Who are we to decide when its time for another to meet their maker? We are taught from a very young age to respect our elders and those with power? Who has more power than the one who created us? Aren't we disrespecting him when we practice euthanasia?
             The main source of this religious opposition comes from both the Jewish and Christian religion, from these two the Roman Catholic Church is the strongest opponent. Islamic ...
