Should we keep soldiers in Iraq, or should we bring them home?

At first I thought war was the right thing to do, but then I thought about it for awhile and I couldn’t decide anymore whether it was right or wrong. This is a very important subject to think about because the war on terror and Iraq could change the lives of many people. If nothing is done to help the American troops in Iraq there will be many more unnecessary casualties.

If we keep troops in Iraq we won’t have to fight on American soil. That way we could keep the enemy away from our families. Keeping troops in Iraq will also help civilians in the United S

. . .

Another drawback to keeping out soldiers in Iraq is the criticism of other countries who think that Iraq is not the center of the war on terror. Another positive note to think about is that if our soldiers leave Iraq, it could once again go back to the terrible way it once was. The prices of o il, gasoline, and other supplies demand will go down without a war brewing overseas. tates stay safe from ground combat with the enemies.

There are reasons that keeping the soldiers here in America could also be dangerous to our country. There could be another 9/11/ in store for us if we let our guard down in the war. Everyday we lost soldiers in Iraq to unnecessary suicide bombings and riots. Also, more families would stay together without brothers, sons, and fathers being shipped off or drafted to the war efforts.

Although those were good reasons for keeping troops in Iraq, there are also some cons for keeping them there.

However, there is another viewpoint, what if we kept our soldiers in the US? We would save many casualties that could have been lost having the soldiers in Iraq. With the right leader we could reorganize Iraq in a much better way.

I believe that war is a last resort that a country should take against another. For instance, instead of them worrying about us attacking their homes and businesses, we would have to worry about the safety of our country. I don’t believe that this was a last resort for our country so maybe we should thing about our president’s decision about going into such a quick war.
