             In "Ours Barbies, Ourselves?" Emily Prager talks about Barbie dolls and the image they are projecting on kids. Barbie has long legs, blue eyes, enormous boobs, blond hair and on top of all that, she is very skinny. In fact, there has been a lot of controversy about Barbie's breast proportions. If Barbie were a real person, her measurements would be an impossible 36-18-38. Prager believes that when kids see this doll, they get the idea that this is how a perfect woman should look like. However, I think Barbie would be a good role model for girls. When girls look at Barbies, they want to look like her, and when they grow up they care about their looks, and guys care about girls' looks. Barbie lets those girls dream about a better life, giving them hope and goals. Girls want to be like Barbie. They want to have beautiful kids, nice cars, big houses, good-looking friends and boyfriends. Some people might say that those goals are false. No one can have breasts that big and be so skinny at the same time. Especially after giving birth to a baby and while having a job as a doctor, a lawyer and everything else at the same time. Moreover, Barbie has a lot of friends and always goes out. People, who think that Barbie dolls are portraying the image that everyone should be like her are over-analyzing.
             Barbie is being blamed for showing wrong image of perfection, which is blond, blue-eyed, skinny and big-breasted independent single mother. Mattel Company (creator/distributor of Barbie dolls) did not create that image of perfection.
