Present Career
College education and career choicesFinding a career that fits ones personal needs and lifestyle can prove to be a difficult task. Many times it is ones career that dictates ones lifestyle. I am in the process of pursuing a career that will satisfy my needs as well as allow me to create my own future. After graduating high school I found my self, working at a distribution warehouse. Over a period of several months I decided that I would need to pursue a more professional career. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. I took the advice of a co-worker and decided to pursue a job as an electrician. Two weeks later I found myself enrolled in a four year trade school, and I was working as a commercial industrial electrician. I completed trade school and became a skilled tradesman. After I had put about five years of hard work in I decided that I did not like construction and I needed to look for a different field of work. By this time I had purchased a home and a new car. Making a career change at this point would be very difficult for me financially. I would have to make sacrifices in order to pursue another line of work. With a little help from my family I decided to give up everything I had acquired, and join the militar
For this reason I have made the decision to attend school away from home. By the time I am finished with law school I will be between 32-34 years of age. Prospects of a great career have motivated me to plan out my next six years. What I do think is that I am capable of much more than what I once thought. After spending several months in the marine corps, I was absolutely sure I would not pursue a life long career in the military. In order for me to accomplish these things a lot of hard work needs to be done. I pictured nice toys and awesome vacations. I believe that the only thing standing in my way, is me. Discouraged I began looking for some way to better myself. I was completely amazed at the resiliency of the human body. She attends medical school there and is studying to become a gynecologist. I am taking my future very seriously. I pushed my body so hard that I thought it would surely break. My injury puts me in a position where I am unable to pursue a heavy construction job. I had to give up everything that I had accomplished in order to reach higher.
