d. Stanley recognized the shoes and knew they were Clyde Livingston's. A rush of excitement and curiosity came over him and he just started running. He was caught soon after and questioned by the authorities. He went to court and was sentenced to either go to jail or Camp Green Lake for 18 months and he got to pick. He chose Camp Green Lake because he had never been at camp before. Camp Green Lake was not the place he had expected. While at Camp Green Lake, Stanley uncovered a great mystery. Hector Zeroni had been at Camp Green Lake only a few months before Stanley arrived. He didn't talk much and he rarely smiled. Before he came to camp, he was pretty much an orphan. His mother just left him one day and he never saw her again. Hector was the smallest boy in Group D. He couldn't read but his math skills were unbelievable. A lot of people thought he was really stupid, in fact, that's how he got his nickname, Zero. Zero as in nothing in the noggin. Anyways, he became good friends with Stanley and he helped Stanley uncover the great secret lied beneath the earth of the horrid Camp Green Lake. Linda Miller was the Warden of the camp. She's a really mean, harsh, and cold lady and she has been keeping a secret from everyone. After many years, her secret will finally be discovered.
             Stanley Yelnats IV was falsely accused of stealing Clyde "Sweet Feet" Livingston's shoes. Clyde Livingston was a famous baseball player and believe me, there was nothing sweet about his feet. His feet were smelly. Anyways, Stanley was arrested and was sentenced to 18 months in prison or 18 months at Camp Green Lake and Stanley had a choice. Stanley chose Camp Green Lake because he has never been to a camp before. It turns out that Camp Green Lake was anything but green and there was no lake there. It was just an extremely dry, flat, and sunburned wasteland. Camp Green Lake was a juvenile detention facility. Everyday, the boy...
