Variations* There are many variations in the process of baptism and the person on whom the baptism is being performed on. Eastern Orthodox Ceremony* The most distinct ceremony in Christianity. This symbolizes the first steps of the couple's journey taken together before god. * They believe the grace of the sacrament comes from the Almighty through one person to the other in the couple. "(The person being baptized needs to be in the water for only 2 or 3 seconds). * The couple then walk around the alter together. * During the wedding ceremony, Christians take part in bible reading, preaching, hymns/songs of praise/worship and often communion. * Almost every Christian church baptizes but do so in two different ways. * The couple both drink from a single cup to share Holy Communion.
