             "As we enter the new economic age, in which human intellectual capital drives the bottom line, organizations must obtain the maximum contribution from their knowledge workers. In addition to recruiting the highest quality people, they must also find ways to develop and retain them. This, however, is easier said than done. During times of organizational change, management attention is so often diverted by day-to-day demands that employee development is forced into a subordinate position. How do organizations develop their people during such intense times? How do they do this in ways that benefit the employee and move the organization forward? Furthermore, how do they prevent their most talented people from leaving the organization?" (Papmehl, 12) The development of different motivational techniques could answer most of the questions posed, for a motivated employee yields the highest performance measurement. Satisfaction is an important element in the back pocket of any well-seasoned manager; it is beneficial to the organization to please their staff by enticing them with tangible and non-tangible pieces of motivation essentials, such as, rewards and incentives. A manager must focus on the ten commandments of workplace motivation, so employees thrive to success. Keeping employees that are valuable to the overall success of the organization is crucial in today's economy, as most of the qualified personnel are in short supply. Motivating employees to surpass expectations is paramount to improve quality and production as the business world explodes into action. In today's aggressive and varying technological business world, it is paramount to motivate employees to directly affect moral and work performance; observance of key personnel is imperative for a business to be triumphant.
