             Differences in Marketing Stylish Clothing
             In advertisements, clothing is specifically targeted to select classes of people. The most high-end designers market their clothing lines to young achiever women and not to the hard working everyday woman. Because I am a hard working mother of two, my choices of clothing come down to what is affordable and comfortable. Certain designers often forget about the young mother demographic. The clothes are also in bias cuts, so we often have to make choices based on what is less expensive and fits versus what would make us feel more beautiful. I am 26 years and I don't wear a size 6 anymore. I love the hip clothes from Be Be, Limited and Express, but I can't seem to fit any of their clothes. I'm a size 12 and that seems to be the average size of women today, but the size 12 in these seem to be disproportioned to the body types of most women that size. I find it very difficult to have to shop at Lane Bryant or Catherine Plus Size just to find something remotely trendy. I still feel young and vibrant, but I'm subjected to having to dress like my mother who is 55 years old.
             In one of the ads the model (who happens to be Angie Harmon) is advertising clothes for Jones of New York Outwear Sports Collections. She is sitting on a green bench. It seems to be a sunny fall day in the park. She is wearing a navy blue jacket, and vertical stripped button down shirt, which is light blue and white. The slacks the model is wearing are a gray and black mixture, and they seem to easily drape over her legs. She is wearing black high-heels. On the bench beside her, is her deep blue purse, to her left and to her right is a beautiful dog. The breed of the dog seems to be a weimaramer. The dog is on a leash and sits patiently at the model's side. The model is looking off into the distance. Under the bench, at the models feet are the words in white: JNY Jones N
