             My sister and I are the exact opposite of one another. We are not exactly known for our friendship. More times than not we were constantly at each other's throats and practically pulling one another's hair out. Even till this day my memories are not of fun and laughter but of instigation and torture. However, one of my favorite childhood memories is of the time I gave my sister, Nikki, the most marvelous mullet haircut. Our mom did not quite see the haircut for all of its magnificence as we did; she rather saw it for the atrocious hairdo that it actually was.
             It was 1988, I was 4 years old and Nikki was 3 years old. We could not be more diverse. I was a tomboy, always outside playing with the boys. Getting into mischief was my specialty. I was one rough and tough kid. You could always count on me to be dressed in shorts and tee shirts with football logos on them. My favorite colors were blue and red, the colors of my Dad's favorite football team, the New York Giants. My hair was long and black, always pulled back in a tousled ponytail. On the other hand, you have my little sister, the prissy little beauty queen. Even at the age of 3, everyone knew she was the girly girl. Her favorite color was pink and she wore the most extravagant dresses. She had long, beautiful brown hair all the way down her back. Her perfect day was playing Barbie's and having tea parties; compared to mine of playing football and getting all dirty.
             It was a gloomy and rainy that fateful day. Because of that fact, neither one of us could play with our friends outside. Therefore, we played inside together as if we were the best of friends. After we played Barbie's for a while I decided we would play beauty shop.
