Cartoons, most people think it's just something for little kids to watch so they can learn their abc's, numbers, colors, and most of all to have something that can keep them quiet and busy for a long time. To me it's something much more than learning kindergarten things. Cartoons made me who I am today. Now I know you're probably thinking that I am a little kid trapped inside a teenager's body. Well, that's somewhat true; I'm carefree and looks for things that make me feel happy just like a little kid, but I'm also a hard worker, determined person, and most of all a person who never gives up.
             It all started when I was around the age of thirteen, when one of my friends came over to my house and showed me a new type of cartoon I never heard of before. The cartoon was a Japanese anime, which is a Japanese cartoon with more drama, action, and comedy than the average American cartoons. At first I thought it was boring and bad because it was in another language and I had to read subtitles, but as I kept watching I started to see that this wasn't the average cartoon I was used to seeing. It had the elements of action, drama, and comedy that I wasn't familiar with, and what really got me was how the characters in the story were totally different from the usual ones that I see because they showed so much great characteristics like bravery, courage, determination, and the will to never give up. After the anime was over my whole views on cartoons was totally changed.
             From that point on I've watched tons of anime that taught me things like how having a huge amount of power can be very dangerous because of who easily it can be corrupted or how hard to maintain such a huge power. I've also learned that hard work and never giving up will be rewarded in the end. Lastly, the one thing that I think is the most important lesson from watching all these anime was that being true...
