             Provoked by the streams of westernization and increased awareness of human rights, many Thais are questioning their obsolete ways of thinking and beginning to revolutionize them. Based on Potter Stewart's idea: "Censorship reflects a society's lack of confidence in itself," some Thais have initiated the idea that censorship is not the solution for broadcasting violence and immorality. It has only a negligible effect to violence and pornography, and so often, it causes damages to both manufacturers and consumers of such media. This revolutionary idea is now stirring –and grabbing- public opinion about censorship and disabling the rigidity of the censorship process. Such process has been widely criticized and should be abandoned.
             Theoretically, it is often asserted that censorship keeps broadcasting violence away from the innocent eyes of children. On Thai television, for instance, a blur, like a barricade, is deployed to obstruct spectators' vision of pornographic or graphically brutal scenes. Practically, censoring process can, only in very few cases, carry out its effectiveness in preventing children from being too much exposed to some savage information. "Owing to children's learning nature, they don't pay attention to one specific scene in TV programs or films -or specific dirty words in songs. Suppose they do, they will focus just on the brief, shallow action of such scene. Children almost never pick up any trivial information that can lead to crimes or other severe violations," states Dr. Robert G. Macmillan, American paedia-psychologist, in Reader's Digest.
