Gen. Purpose- Explain the adverse effects of file sharing.
             Specific Purpose- To explain the loss that artists and the music business incurs as the
             Mass public continues to download files illegally.
             You have undoubtedly heard about the various lawsuits that have occurred throughout the US concerning illegal file sharing, or illegal downloading of music, as it is often referred to. There are two groups of people when it comes to file sharing, the people that support it and the people that don't. I am a very strong supporter of the people that don't. In this section of the speech I will be telling you the various reasons for which down loading music is bad. First reason is that while you download the music for free, you are stealing; second reason is that when you download the music for free you are not paying the proper dues to the originator of the selection, and third reason is that you are committing copyright infringement issues, which lead to raise questions.
             Transition- My first reason is that downloading music is stealing.
             a. When a person downloads music off of the internet they usually proceed to down load the song on a blank CD, or up load it to an mp3 player.
             b. Even if the song was not downloaded personally, and the file was sent to you by another person, then it still counts as copyright infringement.
             Transition- My second reason is that it is wrong morally and ethically.
             II- Downloading music without paying for it is wrong
             a. When a person proceeds to download music without paying for it they are not paying and money or royalties to the artist, or originator
             Transition- My third reason is that it is against the law.
             III- As of this moment it is against the law to download music
             a. it is against the law to copy someone else's copy written material
