This paper will analyse a genre of broadcast media by use some appropriate techniques and will demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical principles of the use of language in the broadcast media at the same time. It is presented by illustration of a famous soap segment¡X Friends (from Channel 4) through analyse its script. In this analysis, I will analyse its process type, vocabulary, conversation situation and the like by using two approaches 1.Representation 2.Conversational analysis.
