Michael Collins captivates the silence of the ocean in his photograph Seascape. Since there is nothing too abstract within the photograph, it is relatively easy on the eyes.
Collins uses a technique called record photography, where the purpose is to construct an image without a definite effect or meaning. Although the color is slight, it serves a great purpose in displaying two elements of nature. He creates a piece of art that contains other significance rather then just art. They might forget about the astonishing view of the beach because it might have been too crowded or there were little children running around. This too exemplifies his level of professionalism. Once again, a clear-cut horizontal line, adds intensity to the photograph, thus becoming the only difference between the sea and sky. Collins is able to generate feelings and maybe emotions that come with viewing Seascape.
The simplicity of the picture captivates the professionalism of Collin’s artistic ability.
