We may always be so thankful for having such advanced technology, but does it completely always benefit us? Not many people are willing to pay much attention to this aspect, but the ugly truth is that certain types of technology may lead to the destruction of not only our lives, but the many other societies of this world. It is hard to believe that something as small as a coke bottle can totally disrupt the lives of certain people. Oddly enough, that is exactly what happens to the Kalahari Bushmen, and a very similar situation occurs among the Gwich¡in tribe.This essay will discuss some of the similarities and connections between what happened to the Kalahari Bushmen and the culture of the Gwich¡in tribe. This essay will also relate those problems to our daily lives, and what technology does to our ¡§civilized¡ society.
             There lives a tribe in Africa called the Kalahari Bushmen. They are very determined, and resourceful people, who make the best use out of the most basic natural tools they have. An example of this would be the way they use ostrich eggs to collect water. Besides that, they are gentle people who deeply care for their families. Who knew that an event which happened in a day could completely change their method of life? In the ¡§Gods Must be Crazy¡ video, I observed that after a coke bottle was given to these people from the modern civilization, havoc was created. It was frightening to see what a big change it brought to basically all of the tribe¡s people. After it came to them, they completely made the bottle a necessity, and used it to accomplish almost any task. Sice there was only one bottle, everyone had a desire of wanting to own the bottle. It created greed, and selfishness amongst its people. They became jealous of anyone who had the bottle, and so therefore this also caused hate.
