             With the passing of the Border Protection Bill by the Federal Coalition and the Labor Parties, Hansonism has now become a law. Australia now ranks as the most anti- refugee country among the wealthy, predatory countries of the first world. This is an amazing paradox after the strong grass roots movement against the rise of Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party.
             I criticize the people of Germany for their passivity during the rise of Nazism. I have asked myself what I would do if I found my self in a similar situation? Today in Australia there is a crime against humanity being committed right under our noses.
             These unfortunate people are sent to jail without and regard to their Human Rights. These proto-refugees are put in Australia's 'Gulag' detention centres in our version of Siberia. We lock them up in Port Headland or Woomera, thousands of kilometers away from metropolitan population centres. They are incarcerated for years while Canberra pen pushers decide their fate. They are never taken before a Magistrate, not charged with crimes and they cannot seek bail. They are just locked up in abominable conditions in a climate reminiscent of Devils Island.
             In several countries there are provisions for a weekly review of the detention cases, as well as accountability and appeal procedures when the detention is continued beyond a certain periods from six months to one month, there are also strict restrictions against imprisoning minors; Sweden raised the minimum age of detainees from 16 years to 18 years. Where as in Australia the mandatory detention extends to children, including ones born while their parents are detained.
             Today in Australia there are thousands of people who are imprisoned often for months, always for indefinite periods of time, without a charge or without a trial. They are not able to access courts to review either their merit of imprisonment or their duration and whom the Federal Att
