man and its creation

Kelly 1 MANS NEW CREATION The Future with holds many new wonders of technology. One of these wonders I am going to talk about today would be "Hydrogen fuel cell" which in turns might power many new vehicles and machines in the near future. What is a fuel cell you say? Well let me explain this new creation to society. It is basically like a battery and operates the same but never runs down or requires charging. It produces energy from electricity and heat as long as fuel is supplied. All fuel cells consist of electrodes around a electrolyte. Oxygen passes over on electorate and hydrogen over the other, generating electricity, water and heat. Hydrogen fuel is fed into the "aerate" of the fuel cell. {http://www.fuelcell.org/whatis.htm) oxygen (or air) enters the fuel cell through the cathode. Encouraged by a catalyst (which means to speed up or react faster.) the hydrogen atom splits into a proton and an electron, which take different paths to the cathode. The proton passes through the electroly

(New Millennium to bring Cleaner cars and energy. ) The PEM is a thin plastic that allows hydrogen ions to pass. Fuel cells have always been hampered by high manufacturing costs, but a growing number of companies are confident they are now on the verge of bringing prices for fuel cells down to levels where they can compete if not with car engines then with conventional electric power generating equipment. So that the first car driven by a child born today could be powered by hydrogen, and pollution free. The Honda insight (2 seater) and the Toyota Privies (4 passenger) will get up to 70 miles per gallon and cruise 600 miles or more between fill ups. Ford has a testing lab of towers that are lined up for miles along a tree line boulevard in what looks for all like a upscale college campus. ) The P2000 starts stops and accelerates just like a normal car. Well that's my report on the fuel cell and hope it contributed a little information to Society today. The cell formula for this type of fuel cell is (h2 (g)+1/2 02(g)->H2o (I). space program and currently in use in the space shuttle. "(New Millennium to bring Cleaner cars and energy) I sort of agree with the new fuel cell and Kelly 7then I disagree because I like the older model cars and they will not compete to the hydrogen fuel cells toward newer cars. Existing PAFC have out put up to 200 KW, and 1 MW units. (Sirs enduring issues 2003 Environment article # 65. The membrane is coated highly on both sides with metal alloy particles (Mostly Platinum) the active catalyst.
