Airline Profiling will cost the United States too much money

1.) Basic information of what proposed profiling is and how it works.

a.) Computer evaluates about 40 facts and data about each passenger (most of it secret criteria) travel history, how tickets were paid for, one way vs. roundtrip.

b.) Random searches at security person’s discretion.

c.) Luggage checks (explosive detection system, luggage matching procedures)

If price is not the factor, there is also a new scanner that is available on the market, but not yet been utilized by the United States. Airports were closed, and upon

reopening, there were strict new security measures put in place to try and identify copycat

actions, as well as continuing terrorist acts. It can illuminate the person’s body, which also reveals anything, concealed. Sky marshals are a great idea, and although I like the idea of them carrying a lethal weapon, I can see where the public might be apprehensive about putting a loaded gun on board. They then would not be looking at the person’s face to decide to if they were a danger, they would be looking for attributes of the person’s body language, and personality. It does not guarantee a person’s safety while flying.

This type of security is only for show and the feeling of security. This would cover a workforce of 70,000.

Since September 11, 2001 the United States has been in reaction mode. This has the airline match the luggage to the passenger as well as scanning through an explosive detection system, which can identify bombs as well as chemicals inside of baggage.

When the criteria is evaluated by the computer it gives each passenger a number, and based

on that number the passengers are questioned personally by security personally.
