Narrative Essay: My Father

             When my grandmother says to me "you are just like your father", what she means is that our innermost feelings are very similar to each other. As I grow up and have enough intelligence to understand things on my own, I realize that my grandmother was absolutely right about what she had said. My personal characters are so much alike with those of my father, which include assiduous, fastidious, and some time rigorous. However, I'm not always having the same thinking as my father, that's why once in a while I have found him as a little unendurable to me.
             Father is a middle-aged man who looks a lot younger than most people that are around his age. Unlike some of his friends, at the age of almost 50, he hardly has any hair on his body or even a beard. Furthermore, because he usually gets his hair cut for every 2 weeks, his face always looks bright and intelligent. For his daily clothes, Father only has 4 or 5 different sets to alternate; but all of them are very clean and courteous. When I look at my father, I always have found cleanliness, decency, and dignity in him.
             As a daughter, I see my father as a powerful man, even though he's only 5'6" and weight 122 pounds. Oftentimes, he is the decision-maker of the family. From every petty thing to important things that are happened in the house, Father would have to know about them. My sister and I have always feared and respected him. Since we were little, Father has taught us that when an adult says things to us, we can not talk back or having any compromise with them; instead, we just have to listen and follow whatever they say. To us, what Father said is law. Therefore, we have to follow it without asking questions.
             In the house, whenever we want to do something, we have to ask for his permission first. Every time my friends invite me to a party or just go out to eat, I have to let Father know where I go; who I go with; and what time I will be home. According to one of his rules is t...
