             November 2, 2004, may mark a new beginning for our country. The Bush
             An administration that began with so much promise and hope for our country has fallen far beyond my expectation. From family values, the economy, foreign policy, gun control, and the environment are just a
             few of the issues that have swayed me to turn to the Democratic ticket for hope. I would never have thought our country would be in its current state of affairs. Coming through the Clinton years, which had its ups and downs, I thought once President Bush took control, the glory of this country would begin to be bright again. I am disappointed with this Administration, and I would like to point out some important issues.
             First and foremost, our environment is critical to the survival of the human race. Bush has allowed big businesses to pollute the environment. He has not been a supporter of clean air laws, and I feel he has gotten away from his promise of protecting this country's environment. The Bush Administration has not lived up to its promise of clean air, free of pollutants, clean water, and wildlife protection. These issues have not been important to this Administration.
             Without a clean environment program, our country and the world do not have a chance to survive. We need to recognize the importance of these issues and develop a program to protect this generation and those in the future. The United States of America has always been a
             leader in these areas, always setting the tone for the world to follow our lead. This Administration has fallen short, and other countries surpass us by taking more of an active role in protecting our environment. The economy also plays an important part in my decision to turn toward the Democratic Party. During the Clinton Administration, our country's economy prospered. Americans enjoyed increased profits from the stock market. Corporate America enjoyed increased revenues. Most areas of
