The patient, Mrs. Macbeth, seems to be suffering from paranoid delusions and given what she's told me, frankly, I'm not surprised. Mrs. Macbeth came to me several weeks ago and told me that she felt she needed to talk to someone. I expected that a sudden change in social class (her husband had just been named Thane of Cawdor) may have been stressing her out. She told me that she felt depressed all the time and had been having strange dreams. When I asked about these dreams, she refused to go into detail and left it at "they are violent and bloody." When she said this, I attributed it to the fact that the king had been murdered in her home and thought nothing more of it. A few days later Macbeth was crowned king, and her behavior became even more erratic. I decided to run some test and much to my surprise, the results showed that she was a very materialistic and power-hungry person. I found this very unusual for a person who came across as such a sweet person (I am assuming that Lady Macbeth would be kind to him just as she had been to Duncan just before she had him killed in Act 5 scene 6.)
             This started my mind wandering as the king had been killed under very strange circumstances, and I wondered if she knew more than she was telling. That would definitely explain the strange dreams. I planned to ask her about it at her next session, but by then her husband had been crowned king, and I did not want to lose my head by asking questions that would look like accusations. At our next session I decided instead to ask her what she thought of her husband, thinking that his lack of attention to her due to the past weeks events may have caused some of the stress. She told me that she thought her husband lacked some of the qualities that make up a good king. She said that he was to full of kindness, but the way she said it was derogatory.
