Religion in schools
United States citizens are very fortunate to have so many wonderful freedoms. Our first amendment guarantees us many important freedoms such as the freedom of religion. In our country there has been a tremendous amount of discussion and dispute on whether or not creation should be taught in public schools. In my opinion creation should not be taught in public schools. I have many reasons why I believe this and they are all things that I believe can't be argued. Creation is Christian based which would symbolize that God created e
Catholic schools are an excellent example. You can't guarantee people the freedom to practice any religion and then teach children only Christianity in school. Church (religion) is supposed to be separate from government. If you can't afford to send your children to a private school then teach them the religion of your preference at home. If people want their children to go to school and learn about religion then they should send their children to private schools that our based on or allow religion in school. There are many different religions and to make all children learn one is not right. For us to limit our children to only one religion in school would almost be discriminatory towards other ethnic groups and it would violate our Constitutional rights as United States citizens. It is not fair to put creation into education because not everyone believes in God. That is a whole different paper! If creation would be allowed in school then it would ruin certain cultures ethnicity. So let's keep religion in church or private schools and out of our public schools!. Some people don't practice any religion so to teach that in school would violate there beliefs. People in the United States are different and practice many kinds of cultural and religious activities. Schools are under authority of the government so it would violate the constitution to allow creation to be taught in schools. Evolution can also be questioned because atheist believes in it and atheism could be considered a religion.
