He does not kill Caesar for himself but for the people of his country. This shows Brutus is noble because it shows Brutus was not just out to be killing, he was killing for the good of Rome. " This is what Brutus says after he kills Caesar. Brutus did what was best for everyone and killed Caesar. Since Caesar has to die, Brutus wants to be nice about it to be noble to Caesar. He is saying do not let anyone take the blame for Caesar's death, I killed him. In Julius Caesar, Brutus is noble. Caesar would have taken his power for granted and used it in ways he should not have. He would do whatever if takes for Rome. Brutus does not want to kill Antony because Antony does not put Rome in danger. He is not denying what he did-even though he knows the people of Rome will be outraged with him.
