A public event interaction that made an impact on my life
There are incidents in a person's life that can affect their daily routines. Some of these incidents may produce a bad or good effect. Depending on its importance, changes to a person's life can or will be made. Some individuals are stronger and can handle certain situations more effectively than other's. Therefore, the impact will not have the result of an emotional or mental distress.In 2001, I enlisted in the United States Navy in order to provide myself with a more productive and successful life. Also, I joined the Navy to escape from the life I was living and my family. I joined in April, boot camp was completed in June, and my trade school was completed in August. It caused a lot of destruction and killed a number of people. riorities mixed up, and, before I could make up for my mistakes, I was leaving for my assigned station in Japan. The incident released emotions within myself that made me break down. After a week of preservation, the lock out was over, and phone calls to the states were able to commence. But, it is said that someone will not know what they have until it is gone, and I am grateful that I did not have to wait for that occurrence. The naval Base called for a "Recall" which locked out everyone except for military personnel. I was scared and nervous, not for myself but for my family. Now it is September, and I have been in Japan for about two weeks. I was very concerned about my mother and my family although I have never been before. Everyone on my ship knew that I did not want to be there, but I did not have a choice. I felt like crying but, my so-called manly pride held back the tears. I began to regret all of the things I did to her and to the rest of my family. Being home, in Brooklyn, New York, made me not want to continue in the military.
