Roe vs. Wade

             In 1973 Roe vs. Wade made it legal for a woman to have an abortion in the United States. Since this time PRO-LIFE organizations and even Jane Roe has since tried to make abortion illegal again.
             What will happen to women across the country? To rape and incest victims what are they going to do? Should they be forced have a child they do not want? Are we going to go back to the times of back-alley abortions and coat hangers being used to perform abortions across the country when abortion was illegal?
             Even Pro-Life organizations believe that rape and incest are very emotional topics. They often elicit throughout the population feeling of revulsion draw back from the issue of rape and incest. People don't know how to handle a person who is in that much pain. There is no quick fix. That is why is difficult for even pro-life people to come to grips with the argument over abortion in cases of rape and incest.
             Today in our society it is believed by many that it is the woman's fault just as much as the man's fault, if not more. Many people think women are responsible for contributing to the rape itself. Then the rape victim feel self-blame and guilt. And even then a rape or incest victim's family members or close friends reinforce these negative feelings. Or they drop the problem because they don't know how to talk about it.
             Pro-Life also believes that child birth on the other hand can be a victory. For those victims who chose childbirth over abortion can triumph. It can state that the victim is not going to let rape or incest destroy her life.
             Pro-Choice persons don't have any reason to be ashamed to defend pro-choice view in the case of rape and incest. They feel the ones who should be ashamed are the anti-abortionists who have been exploiting the problems of the victims.
