Helping a Child?

             Children are adopted everyday in American society. Adoption is a good process that helps children whose biological parents were not able to care for them. Today more and more couples are adopting children, and more of these couples are homosexuals. Although a homosexual couple may think they are providing a good environment for a child, they are just causing that child to have social, emotional, and spiritual problems.
             Gay couples may think that they have the best home and lifestyle to rear children. Believing in good values, homosexuals tend to say that they can raise a child just like a heterosexual couple. The gay parents may say that they will be able to help a child with criticism and slander better than other people because they have to deal with such problems in their own lives. They may also think that the ability to help a child with these hardships and training them to be law abiding citizens in a nurturing and loving way is all that any child needs to be reared in society. Homosexuals may also claim that they have just as much right to raise a child as a single parent or a divorced and now single parent because they too only have one gender to nurture the child. Claiming that they are capable of loving, caring, and training a child what he should do in life, gay people feel able to have a family with adopted children.
             Do a child's parents being gay affect his social life? A child who has homosexual parents is different from the normal society standards. Other children's parents are less likely to encourage their child to interact with a child who has gay parents. Parents tend to want their children to play with children whose parents share the same views that they have. The child who has gay parents will be excluded from birthday parties and sleepovers by a child's parents who are heterosexual. The child is also cast out in their peer group.
