Colonial america turns to slavery
During the birth of America slavery was apart of the colonies culture. There were not only just black slaves that were used in the settling of the colonies. The colonist started out using Indians as there first slaves in America, then they used indentured servants, and last they Africans. Each group of people they used to do slave work were treated with very little respect to none at all. Being a slave at this time caused a certain traumatized life for there young and still effects the people in which live in our society today. I call this mental slavery were there is still that mental control in which white people have over certain groups of individuals and ethnic groups in America today. During the colonization of the first Americans the Indians who helped the Americans through the winter and showed them how to farm for that the can live off the land were betrayed and captured as if they were a type of animal. The colonist used the Indians as there slave because they had no money and they need a group of people in which they didn't have to pay for labor to do the back breaking labor in there fields to plant grow and pick the product in which that farm grew. Making the Indians do all the back breaki
Man died of dehydration, malnutrition, diseases, and others. In other cases, a parish indentured orphans in order to keep them off the poor roles. Planters extracted as much work as possible from their slaves. In conclusion I think colonial America turn to slavery because they simply wanted people to work for them for a long period of time with out them using any type of money on them. The labor it self was killing some Indians because some Indians never worked that hard during there life time so there bodies were not use to doing the thing in which they did while they were slaves. Census, 6% of the Kentucky population was indentured. The slaves were then sold to colonial slave merchants or to southern planters who put them to work in tobacco and rice fields. In turn the contract would be sold to a buyer in the colonies to recover the cost of the passage. The headlight became the property of the owner not the servant. Africans were the last slaves used in America and did not cause any type of problems for the whites to capture them and transport them to the Americas. The importance of indenture can be seen in Virginia, where in 1618 the colony offered a headlight, a grant of 50 acres per servant, as an incentive to planters to import more servants from England. ng work during the colonization of America caused a drastic change in the Indians population because there bodies were not use to being in the sun for many hours a day, killing there self to do work for no pay, diseases that were brought over by the whites. There was one rebellion that did occur once in the eighteenth century during 1739. Before they were sent on a passage they were captured by rivalry tribes that were at war and then sold to the whites and the whites stored them in dungeon along the west coast of Africa.
