            There's more to Life then Being a Quitter
            
             I think that for my age I have accomplished a lot of things as well as struggled through the difficult times in life. The day I received a test score of a 98% in algebra, which being the first test that I had ever passed in that class, was the happiest day of my life. There was even a time when I actually wanted to drop out. I stuck through it, and then realized that there was more to life then just being known as a quitter. I am a neat freak. Which in many cases, most people my age wouldn't really care about.
             It was the summer I started high school when my cousins were telling me how all the upper classmen considered the freshmen as "fresh meat". You would also be known as a "freshy". They also told me that I might even get hit with a penny. Well it was my first day in high school and walking through the halls was a pretty scary thing being the youngest in the school. It got even scarier when the teachers were warning us about asking the upper classmen for directions. Because if we did, more then likely they would send us off to a class room, floor, and or building that didn't even exist. They also warned us about the "elevator passes".
             During my freshmen year was when I had an algebra teacher who was very strict. He had a different way in teaching his students. We needed to writing utensils which were a pencil and a colored pencil. So all of the work we did in that class had a touch of color. If we wouldn't use color we would automatically receive an "F". I thought it was pretty dumb but now that I think about it, I actually learned a lot from him. I would always turn my homework in on time. There was never a day where I would not do my homework because I had then realized that if I wouldn't do it more then likely I would fail the class.
