Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa was a very loving and caring person to all people of the world. I think one of the greatest things about her was her ability to deliver important messages in simple statements. Some of the things she said were so touching, moving, and great statements to live by. In the movie Mother Teresa she delivers some of these great quotes herself, as the movie portrays the sisterhood with which she is affiliated. Some of the Sisters describe how Mother Teresa interacted with people around the world and dealt with helping those she called "the poorest of the poor". One of these great quotes was: "Poverty is not created by God it is created by you and me." I believe this is one of the most awe inspiring quotes for me because it shows how our actions affect the world, no matter how small or large they are, there is an impact on the world. It also shows how any burden, any problem, in the world is not God's fault, it is humankind's fault. God gave us this planet and created us on it, in his likeness and we should respect him by respecting all humans who were created in his likeness. One of the most significant things this quote shows is that it is a true fact that poverty can be resolved and that people shouldn't blame G
With a little sacrifice, people would have extra money to send to an organization like Mother Teresa's sisters or even a place such as the Salvation Army. The way poverty can be solved is if people think about this quote and live with it in their lives every day. I also thought this was a moving quote because of its deeper meaning within; if you realize that poverty is not only a lack of money, but also the fact that a need exists for something good or positive in someone's life, then you can tell that there is "Calcutta all over the world. As a result of people doing these things, poverty could be reduced and the world would become a better place. This means there is the need for a government without corruption so their country will be stronger and the people will prosper out of this poverty. I think that if everyone was able to listen to, understand, and live by the words of Mother Teresa, then many of the world's problems could be solved. If we could just be good to one another, it might bring peace to the world and comfort to people in need or pain. I think some Americans in particular "don't see" because either they don't want to believe there are people suffering in this country, or they aren't willing to give up any of their own comforts. She loves all people because she can see God in ever person of the world no matter what race, religion, financial state, whether they are in good health or bad. If we think about how our behavior has an impact on everyone around us and that we have to show selflessness and love to make the world a better place, maybe we would act differently. One of the other quotes I thought was very moving was when she said "We can find Calcutta all over the world if you have the eyes to see it. She had the ability to see God in them and loved them because of that. We can spend five to eight dollars on a latte and danish without thinking how much a food bank could purchase with that donation. Mother Teresa set a very good example for the way we should live.
