Climate Change has many effects on Canada, as well as on a global level. Climate Change can be defined as changes of the normal average weather changes within a certain region. Weather changes may be impacted by temperature, precipitation, etc. Global Climate Change is when there is a shift in the weather of the earth as a whole, it occurs naturally. The earth's climate continues to change constantly. Climate Change is having an adverse impact in Canada because it is affecting the environment, society and economy.Life as we know it would not be possible without the "greenhouse effect". The greenhouse gases would trap the heat of the sun; therefore making the earth's average temperature 15C. Without these natural gases, the earth's average temperature would be -18C. Although Climate Change is considered natural, it does have inherent impacts on the earth's ecological system. Due to the impacts of Climate Change in Canada, warmer temperatures could create conditions for severe weather events, including thunderstorms and an increased frequency of tornadoes with an obvious risk to life and property. Global warming will usually increase the frequency of extremely hot days in temperate places, resulting in several thousands of deaths due to heat stress in the United States of America. In conclusion, climate change has a negative impact on Canada as well as on a global level. Climate Change can have an adverse effect on our ecological system in Canada. Climate Change can also be expected to have an indicative impact on fisheries in Canada, affecting the productivity of fish populations, and the way they are distributed throughout lakes, oceans and streams. One major concern is the impact of climate change on Canada's forests. Scientists have theorized over a long period of time that climatic changes that relate to global warming possibly unleashes outbreaks of diseases like malaria, dengue fever, cholera and heart stroke. The effects seem to be more long-term and Canada must deal with the problem now, in order to preserve the future. In most industrialized countries, the biggest impacts of climate change will be experienced through heat waves. Changes in temperature affect the levels of precipitation, wind patterns, and ocean currents, which indeed affects our climate, and that can affect peoples lives in Canada.
