Two main reasons had triggered the conflict and result between Henry VIII and Thomas More. Firstly, King Henry VIII and his wife, Catherine were in bad terms. King Henry VIII does not loves his wife anymore and does not wish to continue to be with her. He had requested to divorce with her. However, the main reason for this decision was that he had fallen deeply in love with another women named Anne Boleyn. King Henry wishes to be with her and not Catherine. Faith and human reasoning are not compatible. As an result he was arrested of treason and sent directly to jail. Mass majority of the time the movie was very plain and boring. Thomas More had given his high position, income and great household, in return to preserve his freedom and protect his family. A person must remain true to his values and moral standards despite the era which they live in and the world around them. King Henry VIII was totally outraged by Sir Thomas More. However, the movie tends to include a lot of dialogue.

The movie, A Man for all Seasons, displayed the clash between the powers of a king and the Church. The key is that faith is our point of existence. Thomas more had the courage to stand up for what he had believed in and had confronted against the King. All Thomas More had to do was swear under the oath of the Act of Supremacy then he will be freed and everything will return to normal. More had found King Henry VIIIˇ¦s actions to be unrespectable and not honorable. The message of the movie was to strengthen our courage in believing what was right. One must stand up for what he believes in, the moment we have doubt, faith will be determinate.
