Fitting In

In my essay, I will be describing how the stories "Blue Winds Dancing" by Tom Whitecloud, and "Everyday Use" by Alice Walker. I will compare the similarities of the two stories as well as the differences of the two. I will be using their structure to help illustrate the clash of cultures shown in these two works.
In Alice Walker's "Everyday use", we learn that the principle character is Dee, is returning home from an n extended journey. The structure of this piece is used extensively to show that the story has the feeling of being there and knowing the people there. She was determined to stare down any disaster in her efforts. Her eyelids would not flicker for minutes at a time. Often I fought off the temptation to shake her.
