The Animal Farm is a novel literally written about a particular farm in which the animals start a rebellion against their farm owner. Even if an individual were to be unfamiliar of the development of the Revolution, he or she would most probably be familiar with the communist regime and the totalitarian control of the Republic of Russia. Because America has always been against communism, this book has become one of the "most read books" of this country. Since the story was written by an American writer in the United States of America, the novel mainly illustrated the bad sides of tyranny and the communist government. If a book were to be written in any of those cities for the same purpose, it only would talk of the positive outcomes the animals faced at the end of the book. However, if the novel were written in any monarch or communist country, it would have probably been banned or prohibited from publication. As for those who have slight knowledge about the historical events during that timeframe, would easily be able to match the roles of the characters of the novel to the real historical figures and events. He wrote the story not only to serve as a demonstration of tyranny, but also as an illustration of a unified class of people against a common enemy and their separation after the defeat of the enemy. That is the main reason that cities such as Moscow and London would refuse to publish the same format of this book. Orwell is a great author who clearly got his point across to even those readers who had no knowledge about the development of communism in Russia. Orwell carefully described each character from his novel as a member of the revolutionary period of that time.
