Alice in Wonderland is one of the most influential books of all time, but why? Most people don't realize that the most important reason for the story is Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland has no plot, there is no climax, and nothing drives Alice to continue. The Matrix is similar to wonderland because it tries to capture its weird nature. The Matrix doesn't always succeed. The Matrix tries to copy wonderland but greatly fails in the respect that it has a plot because it was written to make money as a movie. (Voyles)
In Alice in Wonderland, Alice is never looking for an answer; she is only trying to find out how to get out.
