Theodore Roosevelt
Theodore, also known as Teddy Roosevelt was born in New York, New York on October 27, 1858 and sadly died in Oyster Bay, New York on January 6, 1919. Theodore was the twenty sixth president of the United States of America. Oddly enough Teddy was the youngest man to achieve the honors of being president when he was 43 years young after the assassination of prior president McKinley. Teddy pushed toward the progressive reforms and a strong foreign policy. Teddy was a very out going man, mostly because he drank many cups of coffee each day but other then that he just loved to learn and to take in new information. Teddy was a very educated man after graduating from Harvard. Teddy grew up in a wealthy family but was always held down with asthma and this would not let him do strenuous activities but later in his life he would become a very athletic man and prove to himself he could do whatever he put his mind to. He also believed in giving the American people a "square deal". Teddy finished his 2 hour long speech and then went to the hospital. He was always out and about exploring the meaning of life and just living life the the fullest. Luckily his very thick speech was in his coat pocket and it slowed the bullets speed so it didn't have a great impact when it hit. Throughout his life, Teddy wrote about three dozen volumes on the topics of naval history, African big game and more. He became a real country's man until he determined he needed time away from the ranch and he took time to take a trip to London. He gives such enthusiastic and energetic speeches, even when he is having a regular conversation there is never a dull moment. There he ran under the Bull Moose Party because the Republican Party chose Taft to be their candidate. During his campaign he stopped in Milwaukee and while he was giving a speech, he was shot in the chest. There, he herded cattle; hunted big game and even caught an outlaw. Theodore Roosevelt was the Nobel Peace Prize for mediating the Russo-Japanese War, reaching a Gentleman's agreement on immigration with Japan, and sent the Great White Fleet on tour of the world.
