Joy Luck Club
This movie the "Joy Luck Club" was not that bad. When I first watched this movie, I got bored because the scenes of the movie jumped from one story to another. I did not like that type of movie. But then again, I saw this when I was young. The following paragraph is a brief summary of this movie. At the beginning of the movie, the scene started with a reunion of Suyuan's three friends An-mei, Lindo, and Ying-Ying. This reunion is more of a meeting of the Joy Luck Club. She settled in San Francisco; she now remarried and has a daughter named June. As growing up, June struggled of understanding her Mom. Her Mom forced her to play the piano by making her practice daily. Both Suyuan and Lindo

An-mei learns how her mother was forced into a dishonorable second marriage and why she has no control over her own life. Everything has to be equally divided. They have three children-Winston, Vincent, and Waverly. Their marriage did not work because he had an affair and now they are divorce. They like to show off their daughters' talent. However, they both worked things out. She came to San Francisco and married Tin Jong. As the novel ends, she meets her sisters in Shanghai. She accidentally killed her little baby boy while showering him. Clair, an American exporter, even though she doesn't love him. She wants to encourage Lena to speak up for herself. Unable to tell her domineering mother-in-law the truth, she devises a clever plan and is released from her marriage honorably.
