Parenting, doing it solo

             Mothering is a wonderful job, no doubt about it. It is so wonderful and a huge responsibility, especially for a single parent. Undoubtedly there are some days, that mom's just feel as if the world's weighing down on their shoulders. There can be many reasons for feeling burned out and frustrated. It is wise to try to find the source for these feelings.
             There are a multitude of reasons as to why you may be felling frustrated. If you have very small children you have an exhausting job. Let's face it, when you're tired, you're tired! Toddlers and infants don't offer a lot of intellectual stimulation that we need as adults. If your children are older then, you've been at this mothering work for some, time haven't you? This kind of frustration is also about exhaustion and quite possibly burned out. You have been at this for a long time and are in serious need of uplifting.
             It is possible you are simply a mom who's afraid you've bitten off more than you can chew. You're not in this parenting thing alone, not by a long shot! All single mothers feel over whelmed at one point or another. Help is readily available. Perhaps you need a little advice to deal with the frustrations.
             First of all you need to know yourself. If you worked outside the home until you became a mom, you may now realize that those little bundles of joy don't automatically fulfill your every heart's desire. Well, they're not supposed to. They're not equipped to. Stay-at-home doesn't mean having to give up your outside life. There are solutions, such as: finding or creating a play group for mommies and me. Perhaps you are craving more time alone. The best recourses are other single parents, who you know and trust. Try to trade baby-sitting services once a week with them.
