Satan Character Sketch
Satan in Isaiah 14:12 - 15 was cast out from heaven. He and his followers were cast out of heaven and down to hell. Satan's sins are innumerable, but the one that got him throne out of heaven was being envious of God and trying to set himself up higher than God. Satan, the bible says in James 4:4 hates God and everything that he does. Satan is the prince of this world, and anyone who tries to be of the world is of Satan. The devil, because he hates every thing and everyone that is righteous, in Job goes to God to ask if he can try and get Job to sin. The book of Job proves that Satan does indeed have power, but not power greater than God's. The names Great Dragon, and Deceiver of the whole world are used in Revalations 12:9 which is also talking about the results of the great battle in heaven. He is called the Father of Lies in John 8:44. He is also called a murderer in John 8:44.
