William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" is a story about the downfall of a royal family
through death, deceit, revenge, melancholy and insanity .In all of Shakespeare's plays
there is a character that you cant help but feel sorry for, this is the tragic hero .The tragic
hero always comes equipped with many problems he cant seem to blow off. In this case
the king, Hamlets father is assassinated by his own brother and Hamlet wants revenge.
That is the only decision he makes on his own in the play so he tragic flaw with the tragic
hero Hamlet ,is that he procrastinates to much and misses the chance to kill Claudius
At the beginning of the play Hamlet sees the ghost of his father who had just
recently passed away. The ghost tells Hamlet about his death in every detail stating that
he was actually murdered by his own brother, Hamlets uncle who is now Hamlets new
father from marrying Hamlets mother. At first Hamlet doesn't now what to believe but he
keeps seeing the ghost telling him the same thing so he chooses to avenge his fathers
death by killing his uncle dad. When Hamlet gets the perfect opportunity soon after he
starts thinking if he should really do it at that time or if he should do it somewhere else,
he starts a debate within himself questioning weather or not he would go to hell and his
uncle would go to heaven because they were in a church so at that point he is
procrastinating and doesn't stab the king to death. Because of Hamlets inability to make
up his mind the king lives and keeps on sleeping with his brothers widowed wife so all of
these things like the ghost and insect and deceit are making hamlet go a little nuts, which
puts a state of melancholy over everyone close to him including himself. At this point
Hamlets uncle is getting really fed up with him and when he stabbed polonium it forced
