Smoking Should Not Be Allowed In All Public Places
In 1992, I went to the Doctor to take a picture of x-ray on my chest. After I examine my chest via x-ray, my doctor asked me if I'm smoking a cigarette. Of course, I told him that I don't smoke a cigarette at all. Then I asked him why. He told me that my lungs are same as person who smokes a cigarette. Smoking is a kind of pleasure for smokers but it can harm people who do not smoke a cigarette too. Smokers might say it is their right to smoke where and when they want but on the other hand, non-smokers feel smokers violate their rights. Therefore I believe smoking should not be allowed in all public places.First, Secondhand smoke can increase the risk of heart disease. It is well known fact that smoke of cigarette contains cotinine. We all have freedom, and free will to pick what we're going to do with our life unless we're not hurting our neighbors. Therefore we should not allowed person to smoke in all public places because when they smoke at public place, they have to realize they are forcing other people around them to smoke cigarette too. If we love our neighbors, can we harm our neighbors? My answer to this question is no. This is what we called secondhand smoking. In conclusion, we all have right to do whatever we want to do. When my friend was in high school in Korea, he was captured by gangster and they asked him for money. "America was built on a live and let live attitude. None of us thought that we can high jack the airplane with a plastic knife or fork. But I believe it's not good thing to do to harm others. I believe it is fair for smoker to smoke when they're only with smokers.
